A person from a power plant here in Vilnius had asked pwf to weld a rig to test Bently 3300 proximity probes. It was made from an old Soviet micrometer and a screw fitting for a probe. The turned piece of shaft had to keep the micrometer axis and the probe aligned.

Because the body of the micrometer was made out of random high-carbon steel and the probe holder was made from inox steel, he decided to TIG-braze them.
